RecipeDrop is operated by Bukovitz Ltda (“RecipeDrop,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). RecipeDrop helps users turn recipes shared through Instagram or uploaded directly into structured recipe cards, including ingredients, instructions, images, videos, nutritional estimates, calories, and other recipe information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website, mobile app, Instagram-connected services, or related features.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- Your name, email address, account details, and login information
- Recipes, recipe links, captions, images, videos, ingredients, instructions, or other content you submit
- Saved recipes, recipe collections, preferences, and app settings
- Messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us
Account information
Users may create accounts in RecipeDrop. When you create an account, we may collect and store information needed to operate your account, such as your email address, authentication details, saved recipes, preferences, and usage history.
Recipe images and videos
RecipeDrop may store recipe-related images and videos that you upload, share, save, or submit through the app or supported integrations. These files may be used to provide app features such as recipe formatting, recipe previews, saved recipe libraries, and recipe organization.
Information from Instagram or Meta services
If you interact with RecipeDrop through Instagram, Facebook, or another Meta service, we may receive information needed to process your request, such as:
- Your Instagram username or account identifier
- The content you send, tag, share, or submit to RecipeDrop
- Recipe links, captions, messages, images, videos, or related metadata
- Permissions you approve through Meta’s platform
We only use information from Instagram or Meta services to provide RecipeDrop’s functionality and as described in this Privacy Policy.
Automatically collected information
When you use RecipeDrop, we may automatically collect:

- IP address and general location derived from IP address
- Usage data, such as pages viewed, features used, and timestamps

Analytics information
We use PostHog to understand how users interact with RecipeDrop, improve app performance, identify bugs, and improve user experience. PostHog may collect product analytics data such as feature usage, session activity, device information, and technical diagnostics.
We do not use analytics for advertising tracking.
Payment information
If you purchase a subscription or paid feature through the Apple App Store, your payment is processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
We may receive limited purchase-related information from Apple, such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and entitlement information, so we can provide paid features inside RecipeDrop.
Nutrition and recipe data
RecipeDrop may generate estimated nutrition information, including calories, macros, serving sizes, and ingredient breakdowns. These estimates are for informational purposes only and may not be medically or nutritionally exact.
2. How We Use Information

- Receive, process, format, and save recipes
- Generate ingredients, cooking steps, nutritional estimates, and calorie information
- Store recipe images and videos
- Create and manage user accounts
- Maintain saved recipe libraries and user preferences
- Provide paid features and verify Apple App Store purchases
- Respond to support requests
- Improve RecipeDrop’s accuracy, design, reliability, and performance
- Analyze app usage through PostHog

3. AI Processing
RecipeDrop may use AI systems to extract ingredients, rewrite instructions, estimate serving sizes, format recipes, identify recipe steps, generate nutritional estimates, and improve recipe presentation.
We use OpenRouter to access AI models. Depending on availability, quality, cost, performance, and our operational preferences, we may process recipe content using different AI model providers made available through OpenRouter.
Content submitted to RecipeDrop, including recipe text, links, images, videos, captions, or related information, may be sent to OpenRouter or AI model providers accessed through OpenRouter when needed to provide RecipeDrop’s features.
You should review generated recipes and nutrition estimates before relying on them. RecipeDrop is not a medical, dietary, allergy-safety, or professional nutrition service.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your personal information for advertising tracking.
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, or improve RecipeDrop
- PostHog, for product analytics and app improvement
- OpenRouter and AI model providers accessed through OpenRouter, for recipe formatting, extraction, and generation features
- Apple, when needed to process App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, or entitlements
- Meta or Instagram, when needed to operate Instagram-related features you choose to use
- Legal authorities, if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security
- Business successors, if RecipeDrop is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets
Any third-party services we use may process information according to their own privacy policies.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, or similar technologies to:

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no internet, app, cloud, or electronic storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RecipeDrop does not use personal information for advertising tracking, targeted advertising, or ad retargeting.
We may still use product analytics, diagnostics, and performance tools, including PostHog, to operate and improve the app.
